Her mouth opened and closed before it twisted into a frown. ‘Not when I know you can handle it.’ Her expression softened, scooting closer as she rested her hands on his shoulders. ‘Don’t be so cruel. I have feelings too.’

“I could never be cruel to you Bast, you are far too cute and adorable to be cruel to.” He pointed out as he lightly touched the tip of her nose. “And here I though gods did not have feelings.” The vampire teased.

She pursed her lips, eyes still fixated on his sleeves. ‘Piano, huh?’ She took note of everything he said but didn’t touch on all of it. ‘Same old same old. Fighting Apep, visiting my mortals, killing idiots. You know. Same old Goddess duties.’ Her eyes flickered to level with his. ‘But I can arrange kittens. I know you’d take good care of them.’

“Ah so the normal, well I am sure that one day you  will defeat Apep but for now he will stay as a slippery snake and slither from your claws.” Axel teased slightly as she flicked her eyes to his. “Thank you, I have not had any in my home for awhile and I do like to hear the little mews.”

‘If I left something on your doorstep, it wouldn’t be a small little bird.’ She watched him briefly struggle with the sleeves, idly helping him in his plight. ‘But off top, what have you doing this past few decades?’

“Could I expect a litter of kittens on my doorstep? That would be more lovely than a little bird.” The vampire told her as she helped him roll the sleeve up. “Well a bit of wallowing in self pity, trying not to feed off of the mortals, oh and teaching my self how to play the piano. What about yourself?”

It took a solid minute to realize what he reference to and she gasped, gave him a sharp look and laughed. ‘You tricky–‘ She huffed. ‘Expect it from one of the countless felines I can command.’

Axel let out laugh and smiled at the god as he rolled up the sleeves on the sweater, finding it a little harder than he thought it would be. “You do not wish to leave the bird on my doorstep yourself? I think I would be offended should you not do it yourself if it were to happen.”
