Axel groaned as he woke up, he was confused as to where he was, though glad that it was not day time. He slowly made his way to his knees even more confused as he saw and felt the sand beneath him. “Where the hell am I?” The last thing he remembered was being in his room upon a cruise ship, now he was on an unknown shore. HE stood up and looked around happy to find that there was a small building not too far away that he could stay when the sun rose. The vampire slowly walked towards it, looking up at the sky to see if he could see any familiar stars so he could figure out where he was.
She let out a barking laugh. That nickname always tickled her yet still felt so old at the same time and made her stomach curl just slightly as she rested her eyes once more, her mouth opening in a low yawn. “I come and go as I please”, she spoke with a flick of her tail. “I am a Cat Goddess after all. It’s very rare you’ll find me in one place at once but I am the best companion of all! I sassy and will love you unless you piss me off.” She tilted her head up just enough to roll her chin into his palm. “Now pet my head.”
It always weirded out when she would laugh like that in cat form, it was strange to him to hear such a thing coming from a cat. As her mouth opened for a yawn he had to stop himself from putting his finger in her mouth as he remembered that she wasnt a normal cat. “I have come to realise that goddess. Still it is nice to see you again even if it is once in a blue moon.” He teased. “So demanding, I am glad that your children can not talk or I fear they would all be demanding like you.” Axel teased her again as he gently pet her head, lightly scratching behind her ears.
She gave an appreciative purr, leaning her chin up a little higher for better access. “How are you doing this fine night?” She questioned, peering at him with those golden eyes with slits being the only thing disturbing the endless shimmer of her eyes.
“I am doing well Puss puss. I am glad to see you upon my night stand. I did wonder when you would grace me with your presence once more.” Axel told her as he kept rubbing her chin gently, a smile gracing his lips as he could hear her purring.
Axel laughed as he felt the blade against his skin, they had been trying to see who would catch who first and it looks like he was the loser this time, he put his knife down and smiled as he turned around and looked at Bast. “You win this round.” He grinned.
The vampire woke as he felt another presence in the room, he yawned before smiling as he saw the cat making its self comfortable upon his night stand, he reached over and lightly rubbed under her chin. “Good evening Goddess.”
He let go of her and smiled at her words before chuckling and shaking his head. “Maybe knit me a hat, my ears get cold in winter.” He suggested before lightly taking her hand and kissing it. “I look forward to getting your gifts.”
He lent down slightly and returned the brief kiss and smiled. “The right place for an Alter is in the garden where the stray cats can climb all over it and leave their mark upon it.” He told her, most of the stay cats would just sit and smooch on it.
Axel laughed and watched her for a moment know the whole thing was an act. He moved over to her and gently put his arms around her. “I give you nothing but love and affection as well, this you know. I even have an alter for you in the garden. But you are right I am a terrible tease. But it is so much fun to tease you.”
