Amelia smiled warmly and nodded her head. “You know that I enjoy anything involving you.” She replied to him, placing one of her hands on his face and placing a soft kiss on his lips.
“That is very true. “ He replied in a soft whisper before kissing her back as she kissed him ever so softly, he gently placed his hands on hers and just smiled as he lay there, it was a lovely sight to wake upto.
“Caroline … Forbes,” The werewolf’s face scrunched up in confusion. “I haven’t seen her in years.” In fact, he had to remind himself that she had been turned into a vampire when they were in high school. How would this guy even know that?
Tyler felt his hackles rise and immediately took a step back when the thing make a move to grab him. “Fuck off, you piece of shit! That was an accident! I didn’t kill them, it was an accident!”
“Thats what they all say but I know that most of your kind at least the fake wolves over here in america need to kill to become the beast and they will kill just so that they can turn.” He told the young wolf as he watched Tyler step back from him.
“Are you scared little pup? I will give you a choice, you will let me kill you or I will kill Caroline.” The vampire told him, his tone was very serious as he stared down at the wolf in front of him. He was tempted to kill all of the vampires in town, he had heard many stories of things they had done and it seemed the town would be better off if all monsters were no longer there.
“Nerds are more powerful than you think.” The female grinned at him. The pair got to the parking lot. “Still, it’s better to try than to not do it? Maybe you have a better shot than you think. I will even be your campaign manager. “ Raina giggled. “ I’m cute and you’re smart, what could go wrong?” To prove her point, she kissed him on the cheek.
“Well yeah but kids at this school rather have popular people being their school president. Not a nerd.” He told her with a laugh. “Unless you could get all of the school to vote for me and not some footballer I probably wont win.” Axel said with a shrug before going red as she kissed his cheek, he coughed and looked away as they continued to walk to the carpark.
She gave an appreciative purr, leaning her chin up a little higher for better access. “How are you doing this fine night?” She questioned, peering at him with those golden eyes with slits being the only thing disturbing the endless shimmer of her eyes.
“I am doing well Puss puss. I am glad to see you upon my night stand. I did wonder when you would grace me with your presence once more.” Axel told her as he kept rubbing her chin gently, a smile gracing his lips as he could hear her purring.
“No offense there, Axel, but you have no idea what I would put up with regarding an unnaturally, long life… Especially when one of the drawbacks -as you so eloquently put it- is being a monster.”
“Really do you want a long life? Would you like to be turned into a vampire? Because I can do that for you before you change me, I can give you a vial of my blood that would turn you if you died with it in your system. Then we would see how long you would last as what I am.”
“Excuse me, Axel!” Greta said as she ran to catch up with him getting winded in the process. She got in front of him raising a hand to stop him further. “Perhaps you were wrong? We made a deal, which is binding. You can’t back out of it now because you don’t like the things I say about you and your kind. I admit it was a bit … rude, but that’s not to say I won’t do as asked. I will complete your spell as I have already started it. I am honorable. Are you?”
He snarled as she stepped in front of him and raised a hand to stop him. “A bit rude? Greta I am a customer of yours and you have been very rude to me, what gives you the right to make assumptions of me because of what I am. Do I make assumptions of you being a witch and sacrificing children to do dark magic? No. I do not, because unlike you witch I have manners.”
“That’s an interesting word choice. Are you big on that then? Revenge? Is it what motivates you?” She found that intriguing, he hadn’t said justice or even vengeance. No, it was all very personal. She smiled as she gained a little more insight about him. It hadn’t just been about his culture or beliefs stripped away from him and his loved ones … He’d been personally wronged, hand gone back to revisit that pain, to dole it out to whom he saw fit.
“Interesting.” She repeated herself. Maybe he was a fool to agree so blindly or maybe he had a clue and really didn’t care about the cost. It didn’t matter to Greta, as long as the job was done and she got paid, the way he felt about it had no bearing on her. He’d just better keep those fangs behind those pretty lips of his at least until they became a non-issue. She lifted one hand to show him out of the office in the back of her shop. “Got about your evenings as you normally would. I’ll need about a month to prepare. I’m sure that’s nothing for you, all the time you had. If you have any questions in the meantime, here’s my card. Feel free to call on me.”
“Revenge motivated me many years ago but now I just wish to be mortal and to live a long life and then die as an old man. Not watch as more people I care about grow old and die.” He told her, his eyes watching her every movement, he knew that she could easily hurt him now if he was not quick enough and he was not going to give her the chance.
The vampire raised an eyebrow as she said she would need a month to prepare, he thought that she wouldnt need that long to do a spell, after all he had heard of a witch doing it in less time but the witch had been killed after said spell so he had not been able to ask, he took the card and smirked as he looked at it. “I shall call on if I require your talents.”
“Snapchat isn’t about broadcasting your life to the world. It’s about sending ugly selfies to Brent.” Hailey had a hunch Axel would rather go with the nudes option, but she wasn’t about to think about that. There were a bunch of things she didn’t need in her life, and this image was one of them. “You do a lot with me, but you don’t always enjoy it,” she argued, pulling her phone out of her pocket. “Do you do funny poses for selfies or should I already start thinking of a caption about my beautiful-but-grumpy brother-in-law?”
“Just because I dont enjoy it doesnt mean that I dont enjoy your company.” He pointed out, raising an eyebrow as she asked about poses. “I dont do poses Hailey, I dont need to take selfies, and I am sure Brent doesnt need me to take them for him.” THe vampire told her with a sigh as she called him grumpy. “Im not grumpy. If Brent wants me to get snapchat then he can buy me a new phone for it.”
The vampire stared at Terran with horror and confusion as to how he had a baby and was there some family waking up to an empty crib. “Terran you have two seconds to tel me where the fuck you got this baby and why it is in my house. Did you steal it?”
Terran looked to Axel with an expression of disgust. “Yeah, that’s it,” he deadpanned, “I stole someone’s fucking baby. Fuck’s sake – give me a lil’ more credit than that.” He huffed, holding the child awkwardly in his hands as it squalled at him. “It was in the woods. The basket is over there, with a note. I would’a just taken it to the police, but it was starting to snow.”
“I would not put it past you Terran to steal a baby so that perhaps I would abuse it when it gets old instead of you.” He pointed out as he looked at Terran and then to the baby, he gently took the child from Terran’s hands and held it in his arms and rocked it back and forth. “It needs formula, take the car and get some.”
Axel’s account only made Adonis chuckle. He’d always marvelled at the idea that he currently lived with someone who’d witnessed so many events throughout history. Some days, he’d pause while reading a historical fiction then take Axel’s account for the accuracy. Most historical fictions were inaccurate.
He sat across from Axel after grabbing his own fork and began to cut a piece of his pancake. He didn’t eat it, though, as his thoughts were a bit occupied. “I kinda feel bad,” he mumbled finally. “You know– for ditching her like that. I don’t think I know a man who’s ever ditched this many ladies before. Put me on the world’s record for rudest date ever.”
“Why do you feel bad? Was the date going well? If not then there is nothing wrong with ditching.” Axel told him between mouthfuls of pancakes. He was a little curious as to why he felt so bad about ditching on a date that wasnt going anywhere.
“I dont think you are rude, maybe picky.” The vampire teased as he added more syrup to his pancakes, getting some butter out of the fridge as well. “Im sure the right one will come along and you wont ditch them.”
