[ @the-solitary-monster ] Nate + Axel

It was finally here. He was finally here, at the home of the King. He knew it was his home. The aroma was very distinctive. Nate had learned how to track animals back when he was born, during the early days of mankind when myth and monsters were part of the human everyday life. Now, they all have scattered and hidden in the dark. In their case, they traveled to another realm, to a seam between the veil of what is seen and what is unseen. He adjusted his hat in front of the guards, very aware of what laid to him.

But he was desperate. He had lost his way back home, thrown back because his brother usurped his throne. And with two older vampires at his neck, who relished on faery blood, he had no other choice but to come to the King, seek an audience and hope for the best. And thus he entered the halls of the Swedish Vampire King and greeted him with respect, lowering his head. Hoping his aroma wasn’t turning any attention.

“Your Majesty,” Nate said with a bow, “My name is Nate Bellecour. I am a fae,” he admitted raising his head to meet the man’s eyes. “I have come to you to both seek an alliance and a helping hand.”

Axel had first heard of the Fae entering his land a few days ago, he had been curious about why the creature was here and what they wanted after all it had been many years since they had seen a Fae in his lands.

He had his men watch him as he made his way to his castle, they had all been curious about how the man would taste but had been told by their king not to touch a hair on his head till they knew what he wanted.

When the Fae entered his halls he could smell him before he even entered the room, so could the other vampires around him. The aroma of his blood was intoxicating.

“You come alone into a vampire’s lair to ask for help? Are you mad? Or do you have a death wish?” Axel asked as he got off of his throne and walked over to him. “Clearly a death wish as you are surrounded by vampires.”
