“I could have at least pretended to have an emergency— or to have gotten called in at work.” Just leaving was unbelievably rude, and just because Axel tried to tell him the opposite didn’t change his opinion on it. Even then, it wasn’t the first time Adonis had ditched. He should know better by now.

“Can you get me butter, too?” he asked, diverting the topic for a moment so he could allow himself to smile back. Axel had a cute smile. He added a “thank you” when Axel brought the butter over to the table. Then, to get back to the matter at hand, he asked with genuine curiosity, “So…what do you think my type is?”

“Oh you could have, you could have even ask me to call you  at a set time to be said emergency or work.” HE pointed out with a smirk. “But no, you just left. I am surprised as it is very rude of you.” He teased as he brought butter over to him.

“YOur type…Hmm…Probably someone that is so into the same things as you, is some what attractive. Strong jaw line maybe.” He laughed before sitting down. “I do not know what your type is really, maybe a pretty boy, or girl.”

Axel’s account only made Adonis chuckle. He’d always marvelled at the idea that he currently lived with someone who’d witnessed so many events throughout history. Some days, he’d pause while reading a historical fiction then take Axel’s account for the accuracy. Most historical fictions were inaccurate.

He sat across from Axel after grabbing his own fork and began to cut a piece of his pancake. He didn’t eat it, though, as his thoughts were a bit occupied. “I kinda feel bad,” he mumbled finally. “You know– for ditching her like that. I don’t think I know a man who’s ever ditched this many ladies before. Put me on the world’s record for rudest date ever.”

“Why do you feel bad? Was the date going well? If not then there is nothing wrong with ditching.” Axel told him between mouthfuls of pancakes. He was a little curious as to why he felt so bad about ditching on a date that wasnt going anywhere.

“I dont think you are rude, maybe picky.” The vampire teased as he added more syrup to his pancakes, getting some butter out of the fridge as well. “Im sure the right one will come along and you wont ditch them.”
