“Nerds are more powerful than you think.” The female grinned at him. The pair got to the parking lot. “Still, it’s better to try than to not do it? Maybe you have a better shot than you think. I will even be your campaign manager. “ Raina giggled. “ I’m cute and you’re smart, what could go wrong?” To prove her point, she kissed him on the cheek.

“Well yeah but kids at this school rather have popular people being their school president. Not a nerd.” He told her with a laugh. “Unless you could get all of the school to vote for me and not some footballer I probably wont win.” Axel said with a shrug before going red as she kissed his cheek, he coughed and looked away as they continued to walk to the carpark.

“We might have to change that.” Raina winked. “You know they won’t do it. Too much effort. Maybe they do share something in common with the youth. “ Raina started to walk with him. “ Maybe you should be the face of the student council, especially since we do have a lot of things that can be fixed.” 

.”Im not sure thats something I want to change unless you are willing to wtch horror movies.” Axel told her with a grin as she winked. “I know they wont, they would if it was the staff carpark but the students dont need a new one in their eyes.” He said before laughing at her idea of him being the face of the student council. “That wont happen, a popular kid would rather be the face or try to take my spot and you know they wont want a nerd in that position.”

“Well aren’t you a sweetheart.” Raina laughed at him telling her that his friends would of made a dirty joke. “ Someone has brushing up on all the rom-coms if your words are that sweet. “ Raina moved past him, her fingers brushing across his hand. “ We should get going , before the traffic in our parking lot gets bad.”

He blushed as she said he was a sweetheart. “Never watched a rom com…but I have heard the ones my sister watches.” He confessed as he nodded when she said they should leave, she was right if they didnt know they would be stuck in the traffic. “They need to fix the parking lot.” He chuckled as he felt her hand brush agianst his.

“I don’t see the point. Just because something is pretty on the outside, doesn’t mean it’s as glamorous as it seems.”  Raina blushed. “ Are you telling me that you think I am pretty then Axel?” The woman grinned. “ Well, got to defend myself and the brain is the biggest sex organ.” Raina explained. “It’s a sort of pollen from trees that makes me super miserable.”

“Well…yeah…maybe.” He smirked as he looked over at her, he  laughed as she said that the brain was the biggest sex organ. “My friends would have said something dirty then..” Axel smirked. “And I think that even if you are beautiful on the outside but have issues on the inside it can just take one person to change your life and make you both beautiful inside and out. And right I’ll keep you away from that.”

“I hate to be a diamond.” She laughed. “ I rather be something unique. And if I wanted diamonds, I would be coated in them. I rather be iridescent gems, because then it’s full of colors.” Raina grinned. “ Good to know, because I didn’t feel like kicking anyone’s ass if that was the case.” Raina typed in her number, and handed it back to him. “ Well then, you can set up the details. I am not picky, although I am allergic to mountain cedar and fake nickel.”

“Some girls would kill to be a diamond or even in your shoes for one day.” He pointed out with a smile as she said she would rather be iridescent gems. “Diamonds can be colourful….I saw my mother have a light pink one, it was very pretty.” Axel told her smiling as she handed his phone back to him. “It wouldnt be fair if you kicked my friends asses, they are nerds like me. Moutain Ceder?” He asked raising an eyebrow at her. 

Uh…Kittens. Even when I feel depressed Kittens make me smile.

“A diamond is also a dime a dozen, but yet the whole world wants diamonds. “  Raina sassed playfully. “It’s a definite yes Axel. I would love to go on a date with you, provided this isn’t a joke or that you are trying to win some stupid bet with your buddies.” She blushed when he smiled, it felt like a burst of sunshine. “ So um….this is the part where we trade numbers right?”

“Just because there are millions of diamonds it doesnt stop them from shining beautifully for those willing to take a chance on them.” He pointed out with a smile as she sassed him. “Also, diamonds are a girls best friend.” He chuckled as she blushed. “….I..uh…I dont have many friends….and Im not like those jocks that would do this as a bet..” Axel pointed out as he took out his phone and typed her name into a new contact. “Uh…yeah I think so..” He said handing her his phone.

“Don’t focus too much on the surface.” Raina laughed. “ Just because something glitters, doesn’t mean that it’s pretty or fun.” The woman noted the biting of his lip and grinned as he asked her out on a date. “ I thought you would never ask.” Raina accepted his question.

“I dunno about that, I mean a diamond glitters and it is pretty. Soo…yeah.” He laughed nervously as she grinned, though he smiled as she said he would never ask. “So thats a yes, right?” He asked her as he wasn’t sure he hadnt ever been on a date as most girls just looked the other way due to him being a little bit of a dork.

“I think it’s cute.” Raina murmured as she heard him speak. “ Yeah, but do you see them having a conversation like we are right now?” Raina laughed. “In fact, you’re lasting longer than any of them. You haven’t gotten my wrath, so I think you are faring quite well. “ She winked. “ How do you want to proceed Axel? The ball is in your court.”

“Not normally…But you still seem happy whenever they talk to you…And you dont ignore them that much.” He smirked as she said he hadnt gotten her wrath. “I dont think I want to see your wrath.” He chuckled as she wink, when she said the ball was in his court he bit his lower lip and looked at her. “A date?”
