Soulmates.

She had, in all honesty, been trying to slip away and get home, trying to avoid the whole fiasco. The Fates deemed otherwise, it seemed, as she ran into a young man on her way out.

She gasped and could’ve sworn she heard the silent ‘click’ as the timer hit all zeroes, turning her violet gaze up to the other, eyes wide with surprise. Her first thought was, admittedly, ‘damn ’, but it was quickly followed by ‘he’s hot’.

Unable to come up with anything to say, she only mumbled an apology and half assed excuse before fleeing the shop and high tailing it for home. However, from her shoulder bag fell a sketchbook, loose pages fluttering out and to the floor. She didn’t notice it in her flight.

As she fled from him he was a little shocked as he had expected it to go a little more different than this. He went to stop her as he noticed that her sketchbook had fallen out and was spewing pages onto the floor of the cafe.”HEY!” He called out before kneeling down to pick ever page up for her, though he did not look at them just yet as he ran out of the cafe and down the street looking for her, he sighed and ran his hands through his hair when he couldnt see her anywhere. “Damn it..”

Soulmates.

Everyone had a soul mate. Everyone had a clock on their wrist, counting down the years, weeks, days, hours, minutes, even each precious second. Then, when it struck zero… Another’s would as well, at the exact moment they met. Mina pretended she didn’t have one. She always felt out of place. A black sheep, always dressed in dark clothes, black tribal tattoos decorating her body- a howling wolf, angel wings, and an armband, among others. Her home was painted dark and full of emotional paintings, though nobody saw it. She was reclusive, never made friends. She was at a coffee shop, sipping a simple espresso and reading a novel when her gaze drifted to her wrist. One minute?! Her heart began to race and breath began to quicken, her crimson gaze lifting up and sweeping the coffee shop. Who was it? Where? 45 seconds… 30 seconds…

For the most part Axel had ignored the countdown that was on his wrist. It never bothered him as he always knew that one day it would hit zero and his soulmate would be there in front of him. As he stepped into the coffee shop he moved up the counter and ordered a black coffee, as he handed over his money he noticed that the counter had gone down to a minute, his eyes widened slightly and he thanked the barista for the coffee before walking around his eyes going every where as he tried to find out where his soulmate was. As he looked around he wasn’t aware of where he was moving all that much and he ended up walking into the very person he was looking for. “Oh sorry…I uh….” He looked at Mina and then to his wrist, it had it zero. HIs heart was pounding as he stood there in front of her.
