Anita found herself smiling back at him, pausing there longer than she had meant to before pulling her bottom lip between her teeth to stifle it. “Well, it is a nice surprise.” She smiled again but this time the action was controlled, glancing into his good eye for a moment before fluttering away- the movement not at all having to do with any form of fear.
He was strange and almost always so poised. There where times that the animator just wanted to know what went beyond the impasse of his light demeanor, a desire to know at least where she stood on his acknowledgement and if his interactions and closeness was more than just keeping the master vampire servant close or just developing a friend out of loneliness. “So. Does it have a name?” There was the attempt to change the subject, shifting her weight as she could on the balls of her feet before settling on a hip to sink into.
“I am glad that you do like it, some people just would reject it if they could not care for it at home.” He smiled as he notice her meet his gaze for a a second before looking away from him, he had a feeling that she had stopped fearing what would happen if she locked eyes with him.
“Oh uh no. That will be up to you to name it. I didnt want to in case you did not like my choice of name.” He told her as he watched her and and wondered what was going through her head right now as he knew that she was always thinking. Axel rubbed the back of his head and started to walk into his kitchen even though it was during the day he had made sure his windows were tinted dark enough so that no sun could come in but he could still see out at teh woods around his house. “Uh..coffee?” He asked as he got two mugs out and his special tea.
“Well,” Anita shrugged and adjusted to the hold as well as she could, holding a breath that she wasn’t aware of as it bundled itself under the skin of her shoulders. “I don’t get the opportunity to hold many babies, so your analogy is kinda lost on this one.” She was looking at the beast, frowning at it as much as it was frowning at her, and she swallowed the rising smile that threatened to etch itself across her lips.
“No.”
It was the truth. She wasn’t upset, just more- pleasantly surprised, believe it or not. He seemed to always shock her, and if she ever believed that she had figured the elder vampire out he would always turn around and pull out something new from his proverbial sleeve. “Well,” she shrugged again and struggled with the idea of whether or not she should hand it back to him, “Thank you, Axel. I, uh, just wasn’t expecting it, is all.”
“Okay then imagine the kitten is something you sling over your shoulder, instead of a baby.” He suggested as he looked at how awkward she seemed to be with the kitten, it was amusing to the vampire. “I think it likes you some what.” Axel laughed as he smiled at her.
“Thatst he thing with gifts you dont expect them, they are nice surprises most of the time…” He said trailing off as his mind went else where for a second before he smiled at her once more and gave the kitten a scratch behind her ear.
“Well thats good to hear, But now that I have your trust I will force you to be my human servant.” The vampire teased and then burst into laughter when he saw the look on her face. “I am joking, thank you for putting her trust in me.”
