He’d been having such a great time until then; The music was pleasant. The crowd was awesome. He had a glass of his favourite blood; Slightly diluted and still warm.
Miguel had his eye at that moment on a human, but his attention had shifted right away to see Axel. Emotions bubbled up to the surface and he’d half a mind to disapparate right away. Taking a moment to calm himself; The Beast had been dormant for too long, yet now he could feel it rising within him.
Miguel would not give into it.Two centuries had transpired since their last encounter. It had been heated and it’d been violent. He recalls killing one of Axel’s own vampires he’d also turned in a fit of rage, blasting him with a concentrated beam of light from his wand. The youth had screamed in agony before succumbing in a fiery explosion. Axel had snapped the wand and swearing to kill him if he ever saw him again.
He’d since then acquired a new one. And he’d also learned a few more tricks.
Others in the club had noticed the king’s arrival, as some flocked towards him. Miguel found him as beautiful as always. As poised. As cold. And he hated him for it. He hated his nights of utter agony without him. So he sat down on a cushioned chair and closed his eyes.
Still then he felt their bond; His pull. It was quite irksome. As if they were tethered still across time and space.
Axel stepped into the club, it was an event that most of the vampires in the city had been invited to, though he was still a little shocked to see some familiar faces, as unlike him he knew that the others didn’t hide themselves from the humans. As he was offered some blood he turned it down and smiled at those who came to greet him, his eyes looking around the room till they saw Miguel. It was a face he was sure that he would never see again, not after all that had happened between them.
He gave the other a small nod as he could see the other had noticed him as well. Axel sat and talked with those who came over to talk with him, though he would much rather be left alone than having to deal with them.
