Axel had come home to the house a mess even though he had told Terran to make sure that it was spotless by the time he got home. Part of him knew he needed to get up — there were things to be done, or else — but at the same time, he couldn’t bring himself to move a muscle. It was a bone-deep tiredness, one he was well-acquainted with that no amount of rest would ever cure.
As Terran woke Axel was already in bed for the evening, once he had put the other to rest in front of the fire he had set about cleaning everything that he hadnt cleaned and made sure the house was tidy once more, he knew he had come very close to killing the younger male, and he for now would just ignore it the best he could and hope that Terran would do the same.
After all he had healed him and made sure he wouldnt die, he did still need him to be his daytime eyes and ears.

“Who else am I meant to go out there with? Do you see any other vampires in this town? No I am the only one and I have been keeping this place safe since before you were born, so I am the only one that can handle this.” He sighed as he looked at her knowing she was jsut worried about him and what might happen to him should he be out numbered or if the cops caught onto what was happening. “I wil try to talk to them first, and if they attack I will defend myself from the mutts.”
“Is that what you do?” It was like he had tuned the vampire out completely. “Spend your time, goin’ around to change people’s minds so they think like you? All them years.” He pursed his lips, head shaking once or twice. “Guess you’re bored as hell by now.”

Axel stared at Terran as the boy walked into the house, the walls and floor as well as the vampire were coated in blood, a bloody mess that one could assume was a body was at his feet. He closed his eyes once he saw Terran standing there shocked by the gruesome scene in front of him, he ran a hand over his face and sighed as he remained his more calm composure. “Put the groceries in the kitchen.” Axel told him, his voice shaky as he still had not looked at the other again.
