Christmas Comes Early

@anitafxckingblake:

“No,” she shook her head again, setting her head against his now, her eyes close shut attempting to ignore the slight waves of shivers sliding up and down her arms. It was different for him, had to have been. Vampires where slaves to their appetites, their hungers could and would lead them to the darkest of paths and bloodiest of nights. But humans? Humans had a choice, could choose mercy over rage, they’ve done worse just over being afraid, and fear made you do horrible things that could never bring you back.

And yet Anita stayed like that for a moment before answering his question, the battle raging between her head and what could be considered as her heart. A certain pull moving over her to him, one that she hadn’t felt in years. With a slow and trembling breath, the animator pulled away from him, even as her eyes darted to his lips and back again to the now silhouetted city lights ahead of them. “Besides, I’m still hungry,” she chuckled after a while, brushing the hand that was rested on his cheek over her tangled hair, trying to ignore the weight of his hand still on her thigh or her hand on top of his.

She rushed to change the subject, “Now if you burn the pizza… well, that’s a whole ‘nother thing.”

He let out a content sigh as she rested her head against his, he could feel the shivers that were on her arms and he used his free hand to lightly rub one of her arms to help the shivers disappear. She had no idea how much he could hurt her if he let go of the control he had mastered over all these years, he kissed her cheek softly as he moved her head away from hers and put the car into gear again, his hand still on her leg as he turned the car back towards his house and started to drive again.

He laughed as she said she was still hungry, shaking his head and smiling. “I never burn food. My pizza will be the best you have ever had and you will not want the cheap stuff from other places.” He bragged with a grin to show he was just being silly.

“I have animals at the house so please dont be alarmed if you have a few cats coming up to you for pats.” Axel told her.
