“The thing is,” Anita stopped to wait for him to catch up with her, throwing her gaze back towards him, “I’m no ones servant. And if that means that I have to kill Jean-Claude and in turn….” She shrugged under her coat, “At least I’ll be free.”
Continuing their path homewards Anita raised a brow at that, “Well, all I know is that if I don’t eat anything I’m not the best to be around, at all. I’m already short-tempered when I’m well fed.” She nodded her head solemnly, frowning in the process, “Not that I’m complaining, but don’t you have any…er… friends? Do vampires have friends?”
He frowned at her comment about killing Jean-Claude. “Then perhaps you need a vampire who does not expect you to do anything but live free without being a servant.” He suggested as he knew that Jean-Claude had plans to try and make the other his and only his.
He laughed and smiled at her. “Then I will make sure to bring something for you to eat next time I come around.” Axel stopped walking as she asked about friends. “My true friends died many years ago. All I have now are people trying to kiss my ass and climb the ladder. Even humans do it, they want to become my servant just so that they can have an immortal life without having to be a vampire…..So no I do not have friends. Im sure others do but I dont.” Axel explained, sorrow written on his face as he looked at her.
