“You don’t have to be. You couldn’t help it.” She assured him just as she always did when he apologized for something that he’d done when he was not himself. She balled her fists up and hit them against the sides of the tub at his words. “No! If that happens then at least I will die knowing that most of the time I had a good man that loved me. I don’t want to go back to being completely unwanted.” She refused to leave him and he’d have to take her away and leave her somewhere if he wanted her gone. Where would she even go? She was so broken at this point she wouldn’t even know how to go back to her life as it was. “I’m staying.” She was stubborn as always.
“I dont want you to die Maddie….I just cant keep risking your life every day…I used to have control over myself but meeting you changed that and I have no idea why.” He confessed as he looked at her when she his the sides of the tub. He was jsut trying to protect her, trying to save her life. “I doubt that you were unwanted…..Im sure…someone wanted you before me.” Axel whispered as she said she was staying, as much as he wanted her to stay he also wanted her to be safe and in a place where there wasnt the daily risk of her getting hurt. “I cant change your mind, can I?”
