As he was knocked over a small confused yelp left him, he stared at the other still confused when Brent started to kiss his face. As he said he remembered Axel smiled and cupped his face lightly before kissing him, closing his eyes as he felt tears rolling down his cheeks.
“Don’t ever leave me again..” He whispered to him after he had explained everything to him, he picked up the stone and looked at Brent again. “I….I’m glad your mother helped….I couldnt go another day without you..” He said softly, the vampire had been very close to giving up on life, the only thing that had kept him going for all those years after he lost Brent the first time was the fact that he knew Brent would be reborn, but this time it was harder to believe that Brent would remember him.
Axel nodded and gently pulled Brent into his arms. “Its okay…..I love you too and I always will.” He whispered as held the other close.
After that, life felt like a blur, especially with the speed that Brent took to carry out the rest of the events. He was in a hurry because he did not want another thing to go wrong. He and Axel were engaged, but never had an actual ceremony.
He invited a few close friends and it was a small, but meaningful one. Their home was decorated in such a way that it hardly looked like the same place, yet it was so small, simple yet charming with all the stringed lights, vases with white crystanthemums, and tall candles. He knew what he was doing, marrying an immortal being as a mortal himself, but he was planning to do something about that.
For the sake of Axel, so he never has to feel alone without him when he dies again, he was going to be immortal himself. This was a secret.
After a clink of a wine glass, Brent cleared his throat to say, “I’d like to propose a toast- to the man who made me believe in destiny. Thank you, for being my rock, my guide and inspiration. Axel Alrikson, I am forever grateful for your perseverence, patience because I know I am not the easiest man to be with, and most of all, loving me so much that I don’t know what to do with it sometimes.”
