“No, but we both got very close to it. I don’t know who the hell you are but- had you not saved my life, you’d have gotten pretty damn close to dying.”
Ayida was speechless, not only at his words but the memory of the last time she was saved. She was transported to a dark place in her mind, the feeling of betrayal and utmost rejection by the people who were supposed to love her. The first time she was rescued, she turned into the cursed Aicaya creature. Now- she was still the same person but quite shaken up.
“Are you okay? Thank you for being able to get me to my place,” she finally responded, then took the towel and glanced up at his bareness. Color pooled at her cheeks, a bit embarrassed by how exposed he was but, he had to get out of those rain soaked clothes. “I have some oversized shirts that might fit you. Do you have cuts or scrapes that need tending?” Humans never could heal as fast as her.
He hadn’t wanted to get involved with her too much as she was a supernatural creature but he wasn’t able to let her just die. He looked at her as he wrapped the towel around his waist and smiled when he saw the colour on her cheeks. “Nothing that needs looking at…Just a couple of scratches I think.” He told her as he looked over his bare form to see if there was anythin major. If you have pants or boxers that would be amazing.”
