When he pulled her to her feet, Hailey let out a sharp sound between a gasp and a shriek. How he managed to haul her up so swiftly was beyond her, but so was the whole situation. She couldn’t stay here, not even if she wanted to – which, honestly, she no longer did. Any spark of curiosity had died when the man tackled her to the ground. Now, her only question was where her phone went.

“I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m leaving,” she told him, but she didn’t look at his face. Hailey was scanning the floor for her phone.

He frowned and handed her, her phone as she looked around for it. “I dont want to catch you in here again.” Axel told her as he watched her, she had to know the rules everyone knew them, but here she was after dark in his house.

Once she took her phone he walked her to the front door, opening it for her. “I will call the cops next time.” He warned.
