Hold on

sakura-tsubaki:

It had happened all too quickly, the introduction and her failure of an attempt to speak with him- truth be told even though the castle was beautiful she wasn’t really able to pay too much attention to her surroundings and just spent the entire walk up to her room in shock. Not even an hour in and she had already made a fool of herself- so much for being the hope of her kingdom… Outwardly, she kept her exterior pleasant enough, smiling and nodding as the man prattled on about the history of the halls and rooms they passed- but the moment she was in the safety of her own room and was by herself- she let out a loud groan and covered her face in embarrassment as she flushed bright red with recollection of what had happened moments before.

A variety of expletives had come to mind the moment she heard that name– and it didn’t take her long to realize just who it was that stood in front of her. Most people would have groveled or apologized, but realizing it was much to late to act as anything she wasn’t raised her chin and looked him directly in the eyes, “I can say the same about you, but I am very glad you are not nearly as terrifying as rumor suggests.”

When he turned and left, she had half a mind to be sharp with him- but recalling how ill he was Sakura had taken a step to follow before deciding against it and simply called out instead, “Your highness, my advice still stands. No matter who or what was happened I don’t like to see anyone ill. If you would like, maybe I could tend to you?”

She must be some kind of fool, because only an absolute idiot would talk to a man who could call for her own death along with all her people like that…

He turned and faced her as she once again offered to help him. “I am not ill.” He said simply as he sighed, it was the truth, he wasnt ill he had just not been having as blood as he should be for one of his kind, he unlike the others in the fact that he did not gorge himself on blood every day, he only fed maybe once a week, and that was if he even remembered. “What makes you think I am ill?” He asked walking back to her and dismissing his staff for now, though his persoanl guard who never left his side gave him a questioning look. “I said go.” He told the man sternly as he was now left alone with Sakura.

“Why are you here instead of the girl I was promised?” He asked her with a frown, it wasn’t that he was unhappy with her being here but he had been promised someone else and they had not delivered her to him. “I could just go and get her…” Axel pointed out as he leaned against the door way.
