Send me, “its way past your bedtime” for your muse to walk in at 3:37 in the morning to find my muse isn’t asleep.
Even though Terran had sensed Axel’s approach, the words still sent a shiver through him and he glanced warily in the vampire’s direction. “C-couldn’ sleep,” he murmured, returning his gaze to the pan he’d been scrubbing for a good five minutes straight: he couldn’t get the gunk off the bottom. His heart was fluttering in his chest – it had yet to settle since he’d woke from his nightmare with the mad drive to clean.
Terran’s jaw tightened slightly, though he nodded and finally made his way toward the bed. He shivered once he slid between the sheets on his side, hands curled into gentle fists under his chin as he kept his arms close to his chest. As much as he wanted to believe Axel’s words, he’d never ask the question—
Will you protect me from yourself?
Axel moved as he did and lay on the bed givign Terran his space. He knew that the teen had problems with him due to the way he had treated him but he did care for him and in rare moments like this he would show it. He moved a little closer to him and lightly touched his arm. “Terran…no matter how badly I treat you when I have my fits….I will always protect you and you know that not every day is a bad day here and I do care for you…” He getnly pilled him closer and kissed the top of his head. “I will try to even protect you from me…” The vampire made a mental note to give him something that would work against him so that he could at least be protected a little.
