Send me, “its way past your bedtime” for your muse to walk in at 3:37 in the morning to find my muse isn’t asleep.
Even though Terran had sensed Axel’s approach, the words still sent a shiver through him and he glanced warily in the vampire’s direction. “C-couldn’ sleep,” he murmured, returning his gaze to the pan he’d been scrubbing for a good five minutes straight: he couldn’t get the gunk off the bottom. His heart was fluttering in his chest – it had yet to settle since he’d woke from his nightmare with the mad drive to clean.
Axel sighed and moved up behind him and took the pan out of his hands. “Bed Terran, now…dont make me tell you again….go to my bed not yours.” He told him as he could hear the teens heartbeat and could tell that something was wrong with him. Axel kissed his cheek and gave his bottom a light slap. “Go on..i’ll be there soon.”
Terran drew his wet, soapy hands back as Axel took the pan from them, his body language guarded and nervous. At being chastised like a child, he lowered his head, wiping his hands on a towel before turning to head for the stairs. He didn’t react to Axel’s little attempts at affection, and he remained somber as he approached Axel’s room. He didn’t want to go in there – didn’t want to have to try and talk about the things that scared him, or to share space with the being that was part of that list.
The vampire emptied the sink of its now cold water, he listened for Terran as he wiped the benches down and moved up to his room, sighing as he saw the teen. “come and sleep…..I will protect you from everything.” Axel whispered to him as he lightly touched Terran, being careful of him at the moment as he wasn’t sure what would set him off.
