Reggie tittered for a couple of seconds before composing herself
then setting her glass down. “Wouldn’t than be quite a tale? If the story ended
differently than the novel, if it were based on fact and a real man.” Her eyes
widened briefly. “Oh, but you wouldn’t tell me if they were, would you? You
have to keep your secret,” she said, leaning forward and only loud enough for
Axel to hear. She picked her near empty glass back up and took a sip. “You’re
so welcome. Thank you for pay attention and actually caring! I teach a few
different sessions; the Lit majors aside, which only account for maybe forty
percent of my classes, you’re in the top ten.” She blinked. “Oh, don’t tell
anyone that. Don’t tell anyone that I told you.”
“Well if I did let it slip I may have to kill you to keep it a secret still.” Axel joked as he sipped his drink and looked at her. He laughed and placed his hand lightly on her shoulder. “Well looks like we both have secrets we don’t want getting out, but do not worry, your secret is safe with me.” He told her, his smile rowing wider as he spoke. “See this is why I do not have much if anything at all to do with the other students in your class, I see that they do not pay attention to you when they should. You are giving them knowledge to help once they leave Uni but they do not listen and would rather just talk about how great a party was on the weekend or how one coming up is going to be fantastic.”
