“Well, if you don’t normally go this way, you wouldn’t. I imagine the cab driver would not like to drive me home either. The last stretch is ten miles of steep hills on a gravel road.” But it was worth it, for at the end there were eight small narrow cottages right on the beach. “Don’t apologize. Please.” Her voice was tender and pleading. “You didn’t do anything, and you feeling bad makes me feel that too, because I want to make you happy Sir.”

“I am glad that you are not walking it then. I dont think I would be happy to know you had to walk up steep hills covered in gravel.” He smiled and looked back  over to her. “…How happy do you want to make me?” He asked as the car started to slow down and the engine shut off. “Shit…” He said as he turned the key, trying to start it again before giving up after a few minutes.
